Purpose and objectives of the role:

My role as an in-house Graphic Designer for a financial education company has opened my skill set to a new area of consideration. As part of the Communications team, I was responsible for creating engaging content with eye-catching designs, that share a clear and concise message. On top of working with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, I worked with After Effects and Animate to create motion graphics to add to training materials.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Storyboarding, designing video/animation layouts and developing design drafts to final designs.

  • Creating aesthetic and engaging designs ready to be animated.

  • Creating, editing and posting engaging and aesthetic content to our website, training platform and social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter).

  • Creating engaging graphics for social media usage (such as by using Canva or similar).

  • Developing a visual identity, look and feel for all Genistar digital content.

  • Assisting with website content and design.

  • Overseeing all public and internal company communications.

  • Managing the content creation for live events from design concept to production.
