Graphic Designer

Angels

[May 2019 - July 2020]

Purpose and objectives of the role:

During my time at Angels Costumes, I have worked across a diverse range of projects as part of a small in-house marketing team, designing elements of digital, print and branding across their three core brands.

Working as part of the marketing team, the Graphic Designer will use a range of skills to produce visual arts that are in keeping with each of the 3 individual brands under Angels Costumes, as well as the parent company. I worked heavily with the adobe suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects, and used StorePro to work with the Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing team.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Designing online collateral for 3 websites, including banners, email newsletters, advertisements and social media posts.

  • Redesigning and managing the creative decisions of two new websites for fancydress.com and joke.co.uk.

  • Create a detailed and finite style guide for two brands that allows for consistency across all platforms.

  • Design offline collateral for our two stores, including signage, POS, billboards and flyers.

  • Respond to any given briefs, generating ideas and research into the relevant areas in order to bring fresh ideas to the table.

  • React quickly and efficiently to last-minute briefs on tight deadlines and manage a range of projects – and my own time – effectively.

  • Build and follow a marketing calendar that accommodates each member of the marketing team’s individual tasks.

  • Develop designs for marketing campaigns that can be rolled out across multiple media platforms including web and print for the biggest events in our marketing calendar, including Halloween, World Book Day, and Christmas.

  • Aid in arranging photoshoots for campaigns.

  • Ensuring product imagery is up to date and ready to be accurately advertised to customers, working with suppliers in order to do so.
